Bob Cramutola: Overall Main Event Champion 2022

The man from Philadelphia has done it! He fought through a tough draft; 27 FAAB periods; and many more difficult roster decisions to triumph over 704 other Main Event entrants – the most in NFBC history! Congratulations, Bob (although your partner Aaron Nola helped a little bit too)!

However, I would be remiss if I did not report that – amazingly – Bob did NOT win his league title! Steven Weimer – who finished second overall, was in the same league with Bob – League #1192 – and edged him with 135.5 league points. to 135.0! While Bob Cramutola was the story of the Main Event this season, Steven was in some ways just as impressive. Not only did Steven finish 2^nd overall and beat the overall champ for the league crown, he ALSO had a second league winner that was 6^th overall! Remarkable!  It was an unbelievable finish to an outstanding baseball season.

As mentioned above, Steven Weimer finished 2^nd, Ben Tidd was an outstanding 3^rd, Scott Jenstad finished a great season in 4^th overall, and Stephen Jupinka charged up to 5^th. Great job gentlemen!

The rest of the top ten fell out as follows (see chart below); Steven Weimer in 6^th, Scott Fleming in 7^th, Ned Donohue in 8^th and my favorite operatic duo – Robert Mirshak and Ian Kahn was 9^th; Bob Mazur rounded out the top ten in 10^th place overall.

In addition, Bob Catsiroumpas is 11^th; Matthew Davis did a super job ton finish 12^th, Matt Hurley was 13^th, and hard-charging Zachary Waxman shot up to finish 14^th (excellent work Zack!). Scott Waggener closed out a terrific 2022 campaign in 15^th overall, NFBC veteran Shawn Childs was n 16^th; the tag team of David Bone and Alex Thistlewood was 17^th, Thomas Warner finished 18^th, Kyle Brinkmann was 19^th, and Charles Sommer held onto his position in at the back of the top 20.
