RoS Category Targets (Week 22)

Below are tables for owners to help determine what they’ll need per week and RoS to move up/down certain percentile thresholds. This can be transferable to individual leagues as well as overall competitions. For my leagues, I note where the seemingly available points to gain are, note what percentiles the owners I’m chasing are currently in, then use these charts to help set targets for the rest of the season. I then check my team’s projected RoS stats to see if these goals are realistic.

For a full rundown of how to best use these tables, read my post from a few weeks ago here.

The quick version: The far left columns on each table are the current percentiles for each of the 5×5 roto scoring categories. Percentiles were pulled as of the end of Week 21 (Sun, 8/18) from the NFBC Main Event.

Each column to the right is what an owner will need to achieve rest of the season in that category to rise or fall to a given percentile level. For example, in the Runs table below, if an owner is currently in the 60th percentile (780 runs / 37 per week) and is attempting to reach around the 80th percentile (808 runs / 38 per week) before the end of the season, they would need roughly 259 runs RoS (43 per week).

Charts are also all posted here in a Google Sheet.

Batting Average

Projected BA to hit certain percentiles is based on the average amount of at-bats per team, per week, in the NFBC Main Event (267). Be mindful that more/less at-bats will correspondingly have a larger impact on your team’s BA.

ERA

ERA and WHIP projections to reach certain percentiles are based on the average amount of IP per team, per week in the NFBC Main Event (48).
